Found deep inside California’s Sierra National Forest, is Florence Lake a component of Southern California Edison’s extensive Northern Hydroelectric Project. To eliminate the need to store and consume significant quantities of diesel fuel at the remote site over the winter, SCE chose to utilize a renewable energy system to operate critical site electrical equipment.
