Dangling Rope
A Marina Complex

Within a remote and roadless area of Utah, surrounded by canyons carved by the Colorado River is Dangling Rope Marina. The isolated facility serves boating recreationalists visiting remote parts of Lake Powell within the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. In an effort to reduce the amount of diesel fuel transported by barge to the site, the National Park Service installed a hybrid-power system with a large solar photovoltaic array to off-set the continuously operating diesel generators.
